Emerging from the gritty streets of Detroit in the late ’60s, MC5 revolutionized rock’n’roll with their blistering fusion of garage rock, blues, soul, free jazz, and proto-punk. Infamous for incendiary live performances and a radical left-wing stance, they challenged societal norms with anthems like “Kick Out the Jams” and “Ramblin’ Rose,” inspiring countless musicians from The Ramones and Rage Against The Machine to The White Stripes and Slash.

In 2018, Wayne Kramer – guitarist, founding member and driving force behind MC5 – launched the MC50 Tour to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Kick Out the Jams. Joined by an all-star line-up including Kim Thayil (Soundgarden), Brendan Canty (Fugazi), Billy Gould (Faith No More) and Marcus Durant (Zen Guerrilla), MC50 brought the uncompromising spirit of MC5 back to the stage for a new generation of fans.
