The Avalanches - No Bad Memories

The Avalanches highly anticipated fourth album, 'No Bad Memories’  includes features from Jamie xx, Karen O, Nikki Nair, Jessy Lanza, Prentiss + many more. The new album is inspired by the simultaneously magical and insidious ways that advertising and name-brand technology wraps itself around our memories. It’s an ambivalent ode to the nostalgic pull of commercial jingles and proprietary start-up sounds. The best things in life may be free, but childhood and corporate entertainment products are completely intertwined. The obsession with advertising and consumer technology informs the sonic make-up of the music as a source of raw material out of which the foundations of the tracks were built.
