The Durutti Column - The Return of The Durutti Column (45th Anniversary Edition)

Alongside Joy Division, The Durutti Column were among the first artists signed to Factory Records. Their 1980 debut, produced by Martin Hannett, highlighted Vini Reilly’s delicate, reverb-laden guitar and early use of synthesizers. ‘The Return of The Durutti Column’ marked the beginning of a five-decade career during which The Durutti Column quietly became one of Manchester’s most influential acts.

To mark the album’s 45th anniversary, London Records presents a new edition, remastered from the original source tapes for the first time since 1980. Essays and liner notes by The Durutti Column / Factory Records expert James Nice, Primal Scream’s Bobby Gillespie and MOJO editor Ian Harrison. Half-speed mastered LP presented in restored ‘second edition’ artwork with textured sleeve and printed inner sleeve.
